Miss Mustard Seeds Milk Paint is made from five natural ingredients - Milk Protein (casein), Limestone, Chalk, Clay and natural pigments. Milk paint has been used for hundreds of years. 100% Natural,  No VOC’s, No Chemicals, Breathable,  Biodegradable,  No primer required- for interior or exterior use. Virtually odourless, so kind on your nose as well as the environment.

25 gorgeous colours to choose from, or why not try your own custom mix? It's easy to do- just mix the coloured powder together, then simply mix the powder with water and away you go! A milk paint finish can be used on any porous surface without a primer. It will never chip or peel on porous surfaces, as it soaks in and binds to the substrate, so it's more of a stain than a paint.

For previously painted or varnished surfaces, you can add a bonding agent to the mixed milk paint to promote good adhesion. In addition, lightly sanding the surface, to scuff it up, will help even further.

Milk paint should be sealed with a topcoat, for example, one of our waxes, Hemp oil or Varnish.

This is, by far, the best paint I have ever used on furniture, both for myself and for the items in my shop, it gives an authentic, vintage, antiqued aged look perfect for traditional and modern interiors alike.
